More versus to look up, keep in mind and allow you to free your mind (Part 2 of 2):
*Psalm 104:5-15, everything on earth is strategically placed to support human life (ever notice how many herbs there are that support healthy human functions).
Ephesians 2:18-20, we all have direct access to God, we’re all equal.
*Luke 22:49-51, Jesus does not want to be defended with violence.
Proverbs 24:25, fear (respect the power of) God not man.
Proverbs 29:25, fear can only hold you back, trust in God.
Philippians 3:12-17, your relationship with God will always be a work in progress.
Psalm 41:1-12, when enemies rise against you, God will help you prevail and keep your integrity.
*Matthew 24:6-14, The end times: there will be wars and rumors of wars, famines, plagues, earthquakes and then oppression. You will be hated in God’s name. Many will stumble and give each other up. Those who endure will be saved. The world will hear the news of God before the end comes.
James 1:2-7, your faith will be tested to build endurance.
James 1:11-15, the rich will fade away, the ones who persevere through trials are blessed. God does not tempt you, our desire leads to temptation. Our desire leads to sin which leads to death.
James 1:27, what God accepts as religion: look after orphans and widows and keep from being polluted by the world.
Romans 8:24-25, we live for hope, religion creates hope, you can’t hope for something you’ve already seen.
Acts 14:22, we must go though many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.
*Matthew 10:29-31, sparrows are of little value but they survive with Gods care. Therefore God will preserve you. He knows you well ‘even the very hairs on your head are numbered’
*Romans 14:13-23, don’t pass judgement on each other, nothing in itself is unclean. If someone regards something as bad, then for them it is. Do not let your peers fall because you know what is good and what isn’t. Be an example for them so they don’t stumble. But don’t let what you know is good be spoken of as evil. The kingdom of God doesn’t come down to what you eat or drink. Whatever way you serve God is pleasing to him. But it is best to set an example to lead others. If you think your sinning then you are, because you’re going against your faith.
Titus 1:14, don’t pay attention to religious myths or prophecies not found in the Bible or the commands given by non-believers in relation to these things.
Matthew 5:45, being good is not enough to avoid pitfalls in life, both good and bad things happen to both good and bad people.
*Romans 13:9-10 & Galatians 5:14, the commandments can be summed up to: love your neighbor as yourself.
Proverbs 10:28, righteousness leads to joy, but the hopes of the wicked lead to nothing.
2 Timothy 4:3-4, a time will come when people won’t listen to the truth. They will listen to people who tell them what they want to hear.
Isaiah 64:6, seeking to be righteous on your own is futile. The original lie Satan told in heaven was that you didn’t have to obey God to be righteous (Genesis 3:5).
1 John 3:1 & 1 John 3:13, the world won’t accept us because it didn’t accept God.
*1 John 3:16, despite the media’s take on love, love is sacrifice.
John 15:15, we are not Jesus’ servants; servants are oblivious to their masters plans.
2 Peter 1:5-8, the steps to live in this world but to continue to grow in your knowledge of God: Add goodness to your faithàthen knowledgeàthen self-controlà perseveranceàgodlinessàmutual affectionàlove.
2 Corinthians 5:6-7, if you are at home in the world you are far from God. Living by faith means living by what you can’t see.
*Ephesians 6:12, our struggle isn’t against people, it’s against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and evil spirits.
Romans 1:20, Nature and creation are evidence of Gods existence.
1 Peter 1:18, our way of life is empty
John 8:32, you won’t truly be free until you know the truth.
